Several things to look for. The steering arm that hooks to the tie rods in front is held to the steering sector shaft by a big nut on the bottom. Hard to get to, but sometimes the nut works loose. If loose, you can move the arm up and down. Look for any play in the tie rod ball joints . You can tighten those up. You can take the big pluq with the hex on it out of the front of the steering box. You can then screw out the steering shaft worm gear enough to check the ball bearing on the end. If there is any play in the bearing, replace it. The bearing must be held tight to the shoulder on the shaft with the castle retainer nut tight against the inner race of the bearing. The bearing must be clamped tightly in the steering gear housing by the big plug with the hex bearing against the outer race of the bearing. If after checking all this, you have not solved the problem, then likely the sector shaft bearings are worn or the sector gear and worm are worn. No adjustments on them. You just have to remove the steering box and rebuild it, a pretty big job.
