F504HC's with odd specs

A few days back someone posted a question about a Farmall 504 High Clear that had been modified by a bean picker manufacturer. In the late 60's (66 or 67) I sold three Farmall 504 High Clear tractors to a local farmer (Mississippi Delta) who also had a small local manufacturing facility. He purchased these tractors to go under three bean pickers he was building of his own design with all hydraulic drives. The tractors were special ordered with the following specifications; diesel engine, TA, IPTO, factory industrial yellow paint, 17 gpm hydraulic pump, three auxiliary valves, NO three point hitch, NO rockshaft, R-2 tires. Due to the extra power required by the all hydraulic drives (the commercial built bean pickers of the day were also on F504HC's but used all mechanical drives), the 504's proved underpowered. After one harvest season he traded the three F504HC's to me for three Farmall 656 High Clear Hydrostatic tractors, special ordered with his specifications. The 656 Hydros worked perfectly in his application but after a couple of more years he stopped raising eatable beans and concentrated on his cotton and soybeans and sold the F656HC Hydro/bean picker machines out of the area. We resold the trade in hitchless F504HC's locally for use a high clear spray machine tractors. Harold H
