Don't be in a hurry to pull the mag. Did you try rubbing the old points with a piece of 320 wet or dry? I would bet money that mag will fire if you clean the points. Set the point gap at .013". Pour some ATF in the cylinders and hand crank the engine over. Don't be in a rush to get it running you need to go slow. You can get the engine completely out of time if you just jerk the mag off. Then you would need to bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke. There's way to do it so you don't get it out of time. You need to look at the rotor and see where its pointing and then make a sketch of it. Very important. Then don't move the engine while the mag is off. When you reinstall the mag you turn the rotor to same position that's on your sketch. Hal
