Larry last spring I pulled an old M that had been setting in my dads pole barn for 30 years out. It started up with very little trouble but it was getting a lot of water in oil. By pulling side plate on water jacket I was able to tell leak was in lower block. Since I had nothing to lose I poured in 2 bottles of Bars Leak and used it for several weaks pulling logs also did some fairly heavy bush hog work, burned over 100 gals. of gasoline.. So far it has not lost any more coolant and oil looks good. I know this is a band aid fix but it might outlast me. Thought this might be encouriging.
