When I screwed mine out one bolt broke off, leaving a hole the size of a 50 cent piece in the bottom of the tank. Soldered a flat washer and a bolt into the hole hoping it will hold, otherwise it's pull the botton of the tank off. My radiator shop tells me those tank bottoms usually crack when unsoldered and therefore a new one is in order. Only problem out here (west) is the only shop that makes them is in Seattle and the shop was declared unsafe after the earthquake last year. They were running something like six weeks behind on their orders at the time, so I gave it the haywire job. So far so good. I guess every machine has it's good & bad parts, and this is one of the bad. Good luck with yours.
