Same as Denny, I've never seen a turbo'd MD/400/450 either. I suspect the reason is the gas-start diesel has a fiendishly complex (hence delicate) cylinder head assembly - doubt it would hold up satisfactorily under the additional heat and pressure loads of even modest boost. Also the IHC injection pump is a simple mechanical single plunger pump - it has no way to sense boost pressure and adjust fuel rate accordingly. You'd have to either modify the pump to increase the stroke volume, or else replace it with a bigger pump to take advantage of turbo boost. Now I did once see large IHC gas-diesel crawler (a TD-24 I believe) with a turbo hung on it in the late 60's. It worked briefly in a gravel pit adjacent to our farm. The crawler spent more time in the shop than working and was replaced with a D-8 Cat after a few months.
