I have a 1956 450 gas tractor. It seems to run fine except at idle. Sounds like it's hitting on just 2 cyl. at times when idling. Some people told me that this is normal. It bothers me to have it run this way. The carb has been rebuilt, the ign. went through (dist. shaft was loose). An old IH mech. told me that valve clearance will make them run ruff. Is this true? I took valve cover off today, clearence is really loose on all valves (guessing .030 or so) is this the problem? It is also very cold blooded is that normal for a 450 IHC. Thanks for your help. Willy
