I had the same problem with a Farmall 504 wide front. It was out in the widest position and I wanted to move it in. I took the clamps off, put a smaller bolt (1/2 inch diameter) in the pin hole, dosed it with WD40 and then ran it up and down a washboard gravel road in high gear. After about 15 to 20 miles of gravel road, I tried to push the front of the tire against a tree. At that point I noticed the first movement. I then straddeled the tractor around the tree and pushed against the back of the tire. More road, more pushing, and more WD 40 and finally it was free enough to move. This procedure was then repeated for the other side. It took over a week, off and on to get both sides freed up. I do not recommend heat, and I replaced the tie rods on one side because they were not only stuck but also bent.

The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel.
