i've had a 1939 A for 5 years with 6ft belly mower and found it to be stable and strong enough to cut in 3rd gear late in the season and 2nd in the springtime. in 1st gear with the blade up i can cut almost anything. i had a custom elbow/u-turn bent for the exhaust which sends it back past me behind the rear wheels. this is quieter, smells better, and after ripping off 2 mufflers on low branches, cheaper. i paid $1800 for it with the belly mower, no show tractor but no problems either.
