I have used an "A" to mow grass for over thirty five years. It does the job no lack of power with a L59 mower. If you can go up and down the hills it would be safer. If the 240 has a narrow front end I would be more concerned with that tractor. I also have a cub my father bought new in 1954, it lacks power and would only be good on level ground and not wait until the lawn looks like a hay field.
