I have never heard of an 856 coming from the factory with a turbo thats why they made a 1256 and later a 1456 Your hood could have came off a 1256 . As for the clutch, an 856 used a 12" clutch and a 1256 a 14"clutch an easy flywheel switch, maybe there was an entire engine switch . My wifes uncle has an 856 with a factory turbo but it also has an M&W oil pan on it I'm sure the turbo was added after the fact . That one came out of Indiana used about 12years ago.
