As I remember the 310 gas had an electric fuel pump,it also had a sediment bowl that had an out of sight gauze filter in the top,take the glass off and you will find it above the rubber gasket,a slight knock on the fuel pump often got them going again if they had stopped,they will only work when the ignition is on.
