.Your dash gauge is NOT the transmission operating pressure, operating pressure is checked on top of the transmission case. TEST that pressure, F,N,R,1,2,3, cold, then hot, record the readings. Compare to spec. What Roy says is right. But I have found There is a system relief valve threaded right into the pump. I've lucked out on some units, when that pressure was reading low, to set up or replace that relief valve, bought me a little more time/use. I could never figure out why Deere didn't put a true transmission pressure gauge in the dash.
