I had the alternator rebuilt on my 931B Cat. The amp needle jumped around a bit but after a while stabilized showing a slight charge. The guy that did it said the battery was probably a little low and caused the needle to jump. When the weather got warm, The needle went over further after starting without jumping and came down after a couple minutes. I haven't used the machine for a few weeks and today when I started it, the needle went quite a bit to the - side and after a few minutes went to zero and stayed there. Every time I started it after that, the needle never moved at all. Any idea what's wrong? Should I pull the alternator out and get the guy to check if something is bad? Thanks Dave
