I don't know exactly what date CAT started using Duetsch connectors but I do know they've been in use for at least 10-15 years. So, that may be what your machine has on the wiring harness. If so you can get anything you need for a any type Deutsch connector from Ladd Inc. They are the only true Deutsch distributor in the US, anybody else that has Deutsch stuff is buying from them. I'vd bought a good bit of stuff from them in the past few years and they are really good to deal with. They also have an excellent web site showing all the tools needed, if any, as well as how all the different connectors are put together and taken apart.
If your connectors aren't Deutsch give Waytek a try. Their website is http://www.waytekwire.com/ They carry a pretty good selection of various other style connectors and the crimp terminals to go with them. Hope this helps. Good luck.
