I just noticed something that seems a little odd. On my Cat 931B loader, rolling the bucket down at a low throttle will not lift the front of the machine and makes a noise like the relieve valve is activated. When I speed it up, it lifts the front end easily. The boom will lift it easy at idle. It has a piston pump for backhoe use and not the gear pump on a standard machine. I did notice a very tiny leak where two steel lines connect together for the bucket cylinders. Might this cause it? As I said it is a very small leak on flare fittings. I tried to tighten it but it was already really tight. Can flare fittings just start to leak? If I could get it loose maybe I could lightly polish the flare with fine emery cloth or possibly put some teflon tape on the threads. I know it shouldn't have teflon tape but it is leaking at the end of the nut and not by the flare end. I thought the tape might be just enough to stop it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Dave
