I drive a 1944 T9 for my uncle, pushing silage every spring. I have been told the crawler has been at it since the 60's. when we make silage, we run every day and pile more on top of the pile before it rots, and when we get done and tarp the pile, I drive the crawler in the shed, raise the blade all the way up to put a board under it so the cylinders stay clean, shut down the engine, and use a little logan berry wire to tie each steering clutch back to the seat frame. that is the routine every year. never a stuck clutch since they brought it home. and a neighbor has a oliver 70 that has a stick that fits under the seat frame and holds the clutch down over the winter, every year, for decades. just some thoughts
