Hello all. I bought a DC 85 Dozer from a very reputable farmer/dealer. He swears sideway to Sunday it runs as a new machine. He did a couple ponds etc with it. Well, it sat all winter ,loaded it on the trailer and sent it. When i lower the blade and start working ,it will barely crawl,it is PATHETIC !!!!! I had a new DC 70 years ago,so I have a fair idea what this animal should do ! I put both new filters on the hydraulics tonight . Zero change. Dealer says maybe hydros?? I don't think so.. 2400 hrs on unit, filter I took off said 1400,so,at least they were changed once or twice.. I'm gonna throw a fuel filter at it,but it does NOT seem to be a power issue. Shifting through all the gears,4,5 ? The gauge moves but no speed change, just slight rpm changes. Once every 200 feet it will " grab" and take off a second, then right back to a literal pathetic crawl. I know I need someone to hook up diagnostics to the hydraulic ports, but there are NO dealers for 100? miles ! Thanx all !
