Got the beans in the ground a week ago Friday rotary hoed them for the second time last Friday and they were just popping. I planted them deep so they could get moisture and it worked. some folks have had beans in for two weeks but they are just laying in the dust. We sure need a rain in the worst way as the hay is all stems and no undergrowth. I suppose if any one has more rain than they can use send some to the west central part of Missouri!

Hi Allan, I saw on the other forum that you are one busy beaver! Believe it or not those old rakes here bring a premium , I do not blame you for getting shed of it. I had one sold it and bought an older David Bradley, its 20 times the rake. I planted those beans two and a half inches deep plus in a furrow, It has been so dry here I need the furrow to trap any moisture, the hoe went right over the top of the beans. I almost did not plant beans, I was thinking sunflowers but I let my organic buyer talk me into it. If we do not get rain soon I will wish I had flowers in. I baled alf alfa last week poorist first cutting I ever had!

Hey Guy!

You hoed 'em before they came up?

Whoa Hey! That is scary! Usually that ends up snappin' the hooks off 'em in dry beans. But, maybe soys are different?

Allan
