what would be a fair price for a mower for a m/mt . the old gals just don't have enough power to spin a rotary cutter (bushhog) over 4 foot wide. But my neighbor says i could keep my 15 acres clean as a whistle with a #5 behind my M or MT. thanks for the input.

I Picked up a rusty but hardly worn mower 2 years ago for my dad's MT. It wasn't a #5 it was the one that mounted to the rear lift-drawbar assembly but didn't have the caster wheel I think I have heard it called a #51 but arent positive about the number. It was complete except for the tractor side of the driveshaft, I paid 75 bucks for it. It is still in my to-do pile in the shop but I might try it out this year.T.J.

Hello Andrew. Your neighbor is telling you right about the mower. If you will clip it about three times a year it will look good. I live in southwest missouri they sell for twenty dollars on up. to about eighty. A real good one is about eighty. I always set the shoes high as they will go. Good luck. Archie
