yeah as long as you balance yur weight. If it has
a auto, & it is gear hunting while towing cancel
od. But it should tow fine. I've rode in a f250 towing a 28'+4' weighing 6800 lbs with a 14,500
skytrack many a time, no problems at all.

You didn't say what year, or what motor and transmission combination. I've run lots of fords for years. The big deal here is that you let the trailer carry the load not the truck. The tractor needs to be set on the trailer so there is not excessive tongue weight. I missed if the trailer is a gooseneck or a bumper pull. Also the brakes on the trailer absolutely need to work and work well. They should be good enough to stop the whole rig by them selves. A F-250 with a good V-8 will have no trouble pulling load and the trailer brakes will do most of the stopping.

Would anF-350 be a better option ? I would be only hauling one time to pick up the tractor 1500 miles, after that it would be only about 150 miles max to local pulls/
shows. The trailer is new with weight cap. of 10000lb.

I'd be looking pretty close before I towed that size tractor with an F250. Not sure what the CGVW rating of your truck is but a guess would be 15000#'s or less??

The CGVW rating of the truck should be greater than the truck weight + trailer weight + cargo weight. Allowing 7500#'s for the 706 tractor (please correct me if I'm wrong) and 6500#'s for the truck--that leaves 1000#'s for the trailer. Don't know the size/weight/capacity of your trailer, but make sure the axles & tires can handle the weight. Might be OK for neighbor-to-neighbor haul or field-to-field haul but I'm not sure I'd want to run in the mountains with that rig. If you have to make the run, make sure your truck & trailer brakes are good, bearings are good, tires are good, good safety chains, lights, etc. etc. etc. Don't want to alarm you for no reason, but I've made a few 1000+ mile road trips with our gooseneck and have gained a litle wisdom on the road. As I'v said in prior posts--I have a better respect for truckers and the stuff they go through to complete a safe run.

Should be okay. As long as your trailer is suffient.
