Kevin, if you don't have an operator's manual, I suggest you get one. They have excellent instructions in them. Have you ever used a round baler? I have used 530's and now we have 2 535's. They are great balers if you know how to use them properly. Always be on the look-out for failing bearings. My son burned about 10 acres of prairie hay ground last summer when a bearing went out and the heat and hot metal caught the hay on fire. Luckily, he saved the tractor and baler. Keep your belts in reasonably good shape. They don't have to be perfect as they will still bale a lot of bales when they look a little rough. The splices are especially important to keep in good shape. If a belt breaks, it can get wrapped up in the baler and be a real mess and difficult to remove. We sometimes have a little problem with the twine arms not returning completely to the home position after tying a bale, and then the twine won't get cut and it just keeps on wrapping and wrapping. Usually this is due to a very small build-up of dirt on the twine arm cylinder shaft. Just take a knife and clean the dirt off the cylinder shaft. If you have any specific questions, please ask. Good luck.
David

I just bought a 530 and it was missing a roller. I have been looking for a used one but am having troubl finding one, and the monitor is gone too. Is there anywhere I can get a good deal in a hurry on a roller. I cut my hay Saturday.
