I want to get a couple of steers to fatten up and eat. I have a couple of lots to put them in and was going to grain feed them. I want to get them in march and butcher in november. How big should they be when I get them and how big should they be when I butcher them. I just want to fill the freezer with some good meat. Thanks for any help

buy steers at about 500-600lbs., keep on dry feed with some ruffage, about nov. they should be 800-1000lbs. just right for butchering. this is for beef cattle or holsten, not others.
