I am looking for some white open pollinated corn seed. I now have "Tennessee limber cob" which I don't particularly care for since the ears have a tendency to stay upright therefore allowing rain into the ear and spoilage as it ripens and dries. Other old varieties were "Hastings prolific" and "Holcomb prolific" which we had here in the South. Those were a couple I remember as a kid feeding to the mules and hogs and grinding for the cows as well as making some dang good cornbread! Been all over the net looking for seed but haven't found what I really want.

You might also want to look for "Shoepeg". I think it also goes by the name of "Silver Queen" depending on where you are. Kernals are supposed to look like a shoe peg.

Not sure what the seed and shipping costs are for bulk, but I think Jung carries it.
