I have a 52 JD M tractor it is in pretty good shape as far as the mechanics are concern. I use it to keep my driveway up and to do work in my yard. What I would like to know is, does anyone have an idea how I can put weight on the front without using those wheel weights? There is not much to weld to under the radiator except a small plate about 4"X6". I think I could come off of that and either build a frame to put weight in or make a pipe bumper that I can add water to. What I need to know is, will it hurt to weld anything to that plate?
Thanks for your reply.

There is a certain price that one has to pay to stay safe and sometimes cheap just doesn't cut it.

Have you loaded the front wheels with calcium ?
Why don't you want to use wheel weight ? they would be the best option"
