I understand that there are power steering assist units that can be added to older tractors that were produced prior to power steering being standard equipment. Can someone tell me about these units and where to obtain one. I want to add this to an Allis-Chalmers CA. Thanks.

Inquire of the parts suppliers listed at the left.

Perhaps you saw something there that I missed. I have visted all of those sites and haven't found anyone selling anything related to power steering for tractors.

I try to utilize the YT site and their paying advertizers first, but sometimes I strike out. I think a MF dealer told me he had a source for retrofit PS kits, and I just assumed the listed suppliers had a source also. Sorry. Try calling the larger tractor dealers near you, perhaps this mfgr. closed up though. I suppose a PS unit from an older truck could be fit to a double acting cyl.if a guys creative. Thats the way the retrofit unit worked. The cyl. attached to one of the tie rods.
