So you bought a different truck to get better mileage but never checked the posted mileage rating of the truck before you bought it? Smooth move.

Our neighbor has a Chevy Colorado with that super 5 cylinder engine. He makes 18 mpg on the highway and Dad makes 17 mpg with his F150 5.4 v-8. And Dad can pull a trailer when he wants to!

Trading vehicles for gas mileage reasons rarely works out. If you are buying a new vehicle anyway, then better gas mileage MIGHT pay off.

I can't even make a hybrid vs. conventional pay off in gas savings until you hit about 125,000 miles.

Let me guess,the Dakota has a 4.7?

What a piece of junk engine.Expensive to fix and crappy mileage.Better off with a full size to justify the bad mileage.

Thats why I have a couple small trucks for running around and a F550 Powerstroke when I need the big one.Midsize trucks to me are a waste and are the worst of the big and small ones.My 89 Isuzu 4WD is tough as nails and easy on gas.

I was the butt of a lot of joking 10 months ago when gas tweeked 5 bucks a gallon. I kept driving the old F-150 stakebody at 13 MPG (in overdrive). Everyone else was peddling their bigger trucks for little ones or small over priced cars.'that get better gas mileage' (and have big payments). I just started planning things so if I had something that had to be done in town, I planned to take care of it on the way to work. In otherwords I cut out the BS trips and didn't drive unless I had to. Now with gas back to a reasonable price, I'm staying in that habit and that old Ford costs me less in gas than it did 2 years ago. I can literally throw a ton in the back if I need to and still no payments!
Heck I was feelin' so good about the savings, I bought the old girl 2 'new' doors today.

How did you get so lucky to get the same color of doors of did you already have them painted? Looks good to me.

ah-hum,Set your self down on that extra soap box &I'll hop upon this one.Aside from how long it takes to ofset the cost of the "econo"vehicle. The
national highway safty commission stats show;for
every 100 deaths involving a pick-up(1/2 to3/4 suv,mini-van)and any auto crash,91 were in the
auto.I have never been able to get stats minus mini-van,small suv&pick-up but including 1 ton.As
of now,me,my children and grandchildren travel in
only P.U.s & one Durango. nuf said

How would you like to get in a wreck in one of these? Can't you just picture a loaded semi colliding into it?

Yeah I saw that f**kin' thing on tv the other night. I heard that GM partnered with segway to design and built a few prototypes of this schitt.

I WOULD RATHER WALK - good for the heart.

PLUS - I thought GM was in deep schitt? - And now they're wasting money on this gay invention? Instead of inventing silly junk they should be restructuring their full line of cars and producing small cars with small engines -

NOT a two wheeled schittmobile.

Yes, but now Al Gore is your friend. Remember, actual results are not what is important, it is the good intentions.
