Anyone using photobucket and have been requested to change your password ? Normally I just click on the link and don't have to log in, not sure what the deal is, real or someone wants access to your account ?

Here is one thing I found out with my online banking and that is if you do like most people do and delete cookies periodically it shuts down thier tracking cookies and it doesn't like that. I've had several phone conversations (with the bank that is) about this and they say that is the only way they can make sure you are using the computer you signed on. Just a thought guys, I installed Spyware Doctor @ $38 a year and it seems to have aleviated the problem somewhat. Just another way for someone to make a buck on dishonest people.CT

I got a posting from Photobucket a few weeks ago, then a couple of hours later they apologized for sending it, so now I'm using all my old passwords.

Yeah, I was going to post something with a photo and I saw that log in window, thinking..... no way some scammer would want this information, but the way things are today, hard to say what can be used for what. So this must be legit.

I thought that if someone copied the url after right clicking on the image you post, then select properties, they could use the url found there to get to the page that your photos are on, unless you set it up differently, or you provide the link to access the entire page with the entire gallery, never figured that one out, to secure access if need be.

Never got any of those image posting services to work. Too complicated for me.

They're really not that difficult at all, a little time consuming for dial up users, but once you do it a few times, it's easy and will allow you to share photos here or other sites that won't take em directly from your hard drive.

I saw that, too!

It was really weird - it forced me to change mine twice, said it "took", but then the next time I'd go to get in, it would not work with the new password - only the old one...

I'm not sure what was going on - as far as I could tell, everything was coming from their true website (no spoofing or redirection going on)...

If it had involved financial matters, I would have pursued it further with their support folks...

I changed mine a few days ago... I try to change my passwords a couple times a year. If I notice anything suspicious going on, I immediately change passwords.

Yeah, it wanted me to change. But there is nothing sensitive in there anyway so I left it the same.

Unfortunately our firewall won't let me see photobucket pics. When someone posts on here with photobucket all I can see is a box with an X through it.

I just tried to visit my photobucket pictures.
I can look at my pictures like anyone would without loging in but I have my account set so anyone can view.

When I tried to log in it prompted me to update my password.
