Happen to stop in the John Deere dealership. Yesterday & they have a 60" Agritech 3pt tillers for sale there, Anybody know anything about these tillers. Thanks Dave F.

Is your tractor slow enough, or are you going to let it push the tractor.....

Back in the middle '40s.....I was 8 or 9yrs. old....the farm next to us had a A John Deere hooked to a big tiller....the tiller had a big CAT dieseal.??...it pushed the tractor..... Don

My 33 horse tractors ran the five-footer fine.

I just bought a new King Kutter 60" tiller yesterday and love it. Appears to be much better built than I expected. I especially like the all-gear drive. I must admit though, I bought it ought of sheer frustration. I looked at two used tillers for sale locally. Both with tines half-worn out and $1000 asking prices on either of them. If either had been $500 - I'd bought one.

I then called Tractor Supply and the girl on the phone said they had new 5' (60") King Kutter tillers for $789 - and I couldn't believe my ears. I raced over there - some 25 miles away - and found out she was looking at the price sheet for rotary cutters - NOT - tillers. Tiller price was $1499. I then drove over to the nearby Deere dealer and they had some green tillers (not Deere) price around $1800 and they were chain-drive. Out of disgust - I went back to Tractor Supply - said I'd take the 5 footer and they then said they were sold out - except for one put away on reserve for somebody. I complained a bit about going there on a wild-goose-chase - and they then agree to sell it to me. They took $70 off for my troubles. Then, when I got home - I found in the same day's mail a 10% discount card from Tractor Supply. Went back and got another 10% off. Total price was around $1286.

I had been looking for a four-foot tiller with the off-set mount but they were sold out. So, I took the five footer thinking I might have to remove some tines since my two main tractors are only 33 horsepower (IH B-275s). Ended up no problem at all. I have crap muck soil full of rocks - and my tractor ran it fine. I DID plow it first. Sod was so heavy this year since I didn't spray until spring - I needed something to break it up and the disks wouldn't do it. Only problem was - after tilling a full acre the temp gauge was reading a little hot. So - I'd let it cool for a few minutes here and there and all went fine.

Ask at TSC about parts for it ! LOL bet it will be VERY hard to get anything for them.

I'd go find a dealer that handled Woods equipment and buy one of those or a Landpride.

I know nothing about that Agritech but I would wait. We got one of the Kingcutters 60" tillers and it is the best, But make sure you have around a 50 horse tractor because behind a little Ford 3000 it takes a lot going in first gear.

Does anyone know where to get parts for an Agritec Tiller (Model AT20120). I bought a used one and it works fine but in case I need to replace anything, I don't want to wait until I need something. It would also be nice to have an operator's manual. Any dealers in Texas, particularly around the Dallas area? Thanks.

Was wondering how you like the Agritec Tiller? I've got a line on one, but don't anything about it. It's listed as an Italian built model. AT20-120 3point tillers in general seem to be very high priced. I've got a Kubota BX 1800 tractor, and was looking for a tiller to work up and replant my front yard. ( approx 3 acres) Thanks

My Ford 3000 doesn't know it can't handle a KK 6 foot tiller in Oklahoma clay. Please don't tell it.

This is a very interesting topic and ironic that I've been looking for a tiller for my AC5020 at 21hp and was thinking it should handle a 5' easily but now I'm scared my tractor has a 12spd trans w 4 of the speeds under 1mph at PTO speed Tyler TX now you've got me worried if yours pushes a 3000 around how deep are you digging? I've farmed several thousand acres over the years but never used a tractor mounted tiller I can use a 4' tiller and set my rear AG tires and wheels in but my front axle has a non adjustable front axle w/turf tires setting at 50" outside to outside I would have to go to narrow rib ag fronts. Sounds like I may wait till the snow flies to pick up a bargain in the off season. Good topic guys. CT

Lots of luck on waiting for a bargan in the off season, around here used ones go for new price. I tried for years, finally bought a new woods this spring. Has rained every since. It does till mud fine. LOL Deere dealer made me mad so went to Woods dealer and got a 52"counterrotating tine. Use it on a JD750 18-20hp. Wanted a side shift but they didn't stock. This one takes out my tire tracks so it's ok. Works fine in low gear and sometimes on second pass, I go up a gear or two.
