I just want fair rent for a few acres of pasture down near Hebron, NE. What is fair, by the acre, by the cow, other ideas? Home place has automatic waterer, across the road will need water hauled as the stock pond is all but silted in. DOUG

My son-in-law got $15 per cow per month up in the NW corner.
I got $6 out here in Oregon but that was in 1995.

I just paid $800/year for 50 acres of pasture here in Southern Michigan. The acreage has surface water in several spots, electric hook up, and access to a well if I need it, some fencing but most of the fencing I had to put up using polywire and temp post.

Haven't a clue Doug. That's down in the 'nother Nebraska where the grass actually grows.

"Here" rent is usually by the acre/year or a portion of the calf crop.
