I got so fed up with the cheneyburton crime wave gouging me on fuel that I parked my big rig and got me one of these sonsabitches. I'm not payin no more money to them dang ayrabs for feul no more. This here deal will haul freight and still have room left over for some boxes of wine. You should get one to then you can be independent just like i is.

WELL here is another dummy that thinks we get all of our oil from the ARABS. Would someone tell him the source of our supply.

Good idea. You'll live longer but watch out for those crazy freight haulers.

Sounds like you need to dump the Cat or Cummins and get yourself a couple of 16V92 Detroits and bolt them together and put under the hood. CSX has been running adds around here saying that they can move one ton of freight 423 miles on 1 gallon of fuel. (your mileage may vary)

On a serious note. Any company that is moving/expanding will be looking for a building with rail access to the door. Most newer business locations couldn"t have a new rail line spur ran to it if they wanted to. Airfright is going to get expensive too. Better order a couple of "sea cans" before the price increases.

Next will be Pedi-cabs, Thai Samlors, New York industrial trikes- then Amish will set-up stage coachs and frieght lines with the surplus hay burners. RN.

Prices will level off at a new high and inflation will catch up like it did in the 70s and 80s. I know you youngsters don't believe it,but that's what always happens. Ask anybody that worked for $50 a week in 1970. They were the well off middle class. That wouldn't get you enough gas to get to work for a week now.

$50 a week in 1970, where were you working Japan.
I was making $2.27,that would be $90 a week, an hr in 1962 and was no where near the middle class. Actually I was pretty much at the bottom of the pile.
My title was "Piston Engine Disassembler and Balancers Mechanics Helper. Gas $0.35 for Ethel. 100 octane stuff. My big Dodge 383 needed that stuff to run. Walt

I didn't make that much,I was poor. The neighbor was telling just a few weeks ago that he made $50 a week salary as a mechanic, had a new mobile home,a two year old car and two little kids. I was just a poor farmer milking a few cows and selling milk for around $4.75 cwt for milk.

You"re right about the $. In the early 70"s I made real good money - $400/month. My budget for gas would take more than half that now.
