Lets say I'm operating my tractor tomorrow and I croak in the opperators seat.
Where will my spirit go? Do I have a spirit? Did man evolve from monkeys or is it like the bible says? Why am I me and not someone else, or even a critter? What is my purpose in this world? Will my inner self transfer into someone else when I die? Who was I before I was me or was I an animal or a bug.
These questions and more have been on my mind since I was little kid.

This is one of those topics that can really stir the pot and cause trouble I suppose, due to that and the rules here, I just keep my distance for the most part and stay out of it. It's kind of nice to be able to discuss something like this though, without any nonsense, but always seems to happen eventually.

When people ask here or you know a prayer, a supporting thought, or some kind words is really a nice thing to do to be of help, it's just the same if you keep to yourself about it or are more vocal like many are here when someone else is dealing with a difficult situation after seeing the many posts here. It's the genuinely true thoughts, prayers, rememberence and care that really counts, be it anonymous or known. These kind of unselfish manners were always taught to most of us, a prayer, kind thought or doing a good deed is just part of a respectable set of values to hold true in life regardless of the label on ones faith, at least it's what I always thought, same thing should be true when discussing matters like these, I never understood the disagreements that happen over religion, and will leave it at that.

Aside from this, I have always wondered a bit about life in general, you live, learn, at some point you become very knowledgable through age and experience, you go through all kinds of things, childhood, adolescence, problems, challenges, all the way until you are or feel like the ancient wise satyr on the hill LOL !! I've always thought if you lived by good ethics and morals in addition to lifes experiences, each person accumulates so much in non material areas and accomplishes so many things in life, no matter what, big or small, it's important, and when you look back it's seemingly quite amazing.

Then when the time comes and in death after all of the above, are you still just a biological mass that goes in the dirt and that's it ? Almost seems like a waste if that were true. Well, according to most if not all faiths and religions, it should not be like that. I've often wondered what the native indians believed as well, mostly out of curiosity but with respect just like for all faiths, just to compare the what and why, for no other reason but to learn something different I suppose. It seems to be a hard thing to grasp, cause no one really comes back and tells you about what happens, so your faith is what keeps it real, I think everyone wonders or even questions it, and that is normal human nature. It's nice to learn about things that offer or provide some reassurance on that question as to what happens after you're done fooling with tractors, and yes, make sure to kick it out of gear if you can, although that may not be possible for everyone, kind of a humorous thought in some respects.

Jim, yes you have a spirit. Man did not come from monkeys. God created Adam, and Eve, they had sons, and daughters. The first marriages must have been brother and sister and the rest of the generation came from them. There are two places the spirit will go, Heaven, or Hell. If you believe in God, and his son Jusus who died on the cross for your sins you will go to heaven. If not the other place. I know there those who will disagree with me but that is their choice. If you are on your tractor and feel something comming on kick it out of gear, so you don't ruin a good tractor. Stan

So why is it so "taboo" to marry your sibling today?? Why weren't Adam and Eves grandkids "freaks"??? Was Mary really a virgin or did they make up the whole story to keep her from being stoned to death for having sax out of wedlock??? We all have questions but is this really the correct place for them???

Ok,there was a bunch of dinosaurs here, and The Creators came, moved Earth a ways from the sun, froze it,waited a while, moved it back, made man and all the animals that are here now, turned dinosaurs into birds. At some time theres a Judgment
day,the Creator will either move you on further up the chain higher than an angel,or back the other way, also its not clear if you go directly to Judgement day right when you die or in the future when God comes back, but if you are a hybrid angel and human,do something else with you,and considering if you were a good human or not you could end up in that place or a place like it called Purgatory or he!!.There are other books besides the Bible, the book of Enoch is a good one thats conveniently left out, with others.Where those wives came from is not as much of a mystery if you read Enoch.Enoch was the man of the old testament that God took with him.If anybody should be in the Bible he should.Anyway Enoch was around when Angels(Im guessing here because most religous people wont even talk to you about it)came down and made it with Earth women.Their offspring was giants and they were cannibals and were eating everything on Earth including the people, and God caused a flood to try and get rid of them.It worked well.A few may have escaped, you can look it up yourself about giants.Their mummified remains were found all over the place in the 1800s in the USA.Giants have 6 fingers, double rows of teeth that if you knock a tooth out they grow back, they can outrun a horse, and pick up a horse, there was one in England in the 1800s that outran a horse and was over 8 feet tall, six fingers on each hand.About that flood, the rainbow is a reminder that God wont destroy the Earth with a flood again. There is way more about this, you can find for yourself if you look. There is a lot about astronomy in the Bible, which helps to explain some things about Revelations.I am far from understanding all of it,but its real interesting.I could be completely wrong on this or anything else I posted now or in the past.Where have you heard a better explanation? There are people now that can read stuff they dug up from before the flood, and its amazing. It talks about when God was on the Earth. They were living here but didnt like it because they lost time here, but they came to get the gold that was just laying on the surface before man was made.Once they got all that they started to mine it,and thats when they made man,to mine gold and other stuff for them.In my own mind that would have been the cave men or neanderthals maybe. They lived a long time too.Its like they were still babies at 35 years old, they were bigger and stronger but not as bright. After the Creators decided to move on from here(and go prepare a new place for us to live)They made Adam and Lilith. That didnt work out as good as planned so God made Eve from Adams rib, which maybe was not all the people he made.Anyway God was around for a good while,at least until the flood which was about 1000 years after he made Adam.Theres not a real good way of telling for sure but it seems like its been about 6 or 7 thousand years since God made Adam.Thats all I know, and it could be a different interpretation from me,I dont claim to be an expert.

If Adam was only 7,000 years ago then why are there human bones in America that are over 10,000 years old.

There are things built by the Egyptians that are over 6,000 years old.

I Africa they find things built by people that are over 10,000 years old even here in America we had such things.

Not to call anybody wrong just want to know why these things don't add up.

Thats an interesting question. There is a list of kings thats supposed to go with the Bible and it goes way back,at least 50 thousand years.God came here way before then, and more than once.50 thousand years ago is only about 50 years to God as one year to God is a thousand years to us.250 thousand years ago and more there were people(Gods)that came and did things to prepare the Earth,it had more water, was mostly swamp and other problems, which they fixed, and made fish first. That list of Kings extends way before humans, and way before a king was put on Earth by God.Neanderthal man was way, way, way before Adam maybe 240 thousand years ago as the Gods did not want to stay on the surface very long, maybe a thousand years.

Also if you think about it could explain how the pyramids got built. If a Neanderthal or a Giant(two different people)could probly pick up those rocks and toss them up there on the pyramid no problem, plus the Gods were supposed to be about 2 times our size. Also they supposedly found a long time ago(1800s maybe)genetic experiments like part fish, part man, part lots of animals, part man,and all thats before Adam as well. They found that by the pyramids in a sarcofagus that was sealed up. Its surprising what you hear on the radio listening to Art Bell for about 10 years but you cant say its a lie because if you look you can find it.It makes you mad at first because its been hidden and covered up.That just means it might be true to me.

Another thing to think about is how many times has this happened? The Earth is supposed to be 5 billion years old. What if Adam is just the latest model? What about Atlantis? What were those people like? The questions dont stop. The pyramids are maybe 2 times older than we think they are.Atlantis people supposedly had airplanes and nuclear weapons and were in India and Africa and God was on the Earth then too,and even Gods(which should really be called Kings because God didnt come to Earth very often, the Kings were Gods sons and under his rule)were fighting each other with nuclear weapons or even worse until one of them won.The one that won was Jehova or something like that. This also goes kind of in line with the Greek Myths, maybe they were true?It also sounds a lot like what the writing in the pyramids says, and the story the Druids say.All of those things are different times. The Hebrew version is what the Bible is about, and the reason we have it is the Jews could write and kept it as well as they could.

OH ! if Adam and Eve were the first people on earth where did Cain and Able get their wives from.

Evolution is total BS. If it were true that humans evolved from apes than why isn't it still happening. You are here to do what God told you to do. Walt, may I please point out that Adam and Eve had TEN daughters. How do you know how old stuff is. Test have proven that carbon dating doesn't work. It does mention in the Bible that there we large animals(dinosaurs). It also says this:" In the deginning God created the heavan and the earth". When is "The Beginning" I'll agree that there were dinosuars alot of the stuff is BS. Whe "Big Bang". Yeah Whatever. The guy that came up with the whole theory wishes he had never done so. Basically it says that the particles floating through space all came together at the same time to create a 'big bang'. You want to tell me where the energy required to do that came from. Look how much energy one atom contains. Now reverse that nuclear explosion with enough particles to make the earth. That kind of energy doesn't exist in the middle of no where.

I'm only going to say one thing: That's what happens when you start to believe the workings of the collective human mind - that humanity can think and do things for itself.

Sure, you have every right to question things. Things don't make sense sometimes, but what it boils down to is faith. Not just any faith, the real deal - accepting Christ as your savior.

I cannot explain any further because this tractor forum commands respect for its rules, but I bent them a little. :)
