Reading posts on the plug fouling. Did some one replace the soleniod on the carb and not take the jet out of the old one & not put it in the new one? There is not one that comes with the new soleniod. Make sure the plug wires are copper. Just some more things to check. Carbs are usually easily repairable.

Yes Sir,

Got the call this morning from an IH guru in a shop like you who has been watchin' this forum.

He told me what was going on; went out to the farm and checked. It has been swapped over/solenoid eliminated, but was wobbled out big time. Jet looks like it's about .090" plus the inlet holes are all elongated and about twice their normal size. Just bet this is the over fueling problem.

Just ordered the parts about 10 minutes ago. Yes, it has new wire core wires.

Thanks, you guys sure are a big help,

Allan

Oh heck,

Don't let that hold ya back.

The only thing I really like about this tractor is that nice warm cab and the fast-heating heater. Well, that and the fact that it's got the big hydraulic pump which is really sweet/fast on the loader.

Otherwise tho, gas tractors and I just don't seem to get along too darned good. :>(

Don't you worry about the gas man.... even with a bit less jet, it'll still suck the gas.... right to the tune of about 5.5 gph if it's like I'm thinkin'
