Has anyone heard of a Demco 4 wheel drive tractor before? It is kinda set up like a forklift, rear steering with a big, "Big Dipper" bucket up front. I think it was used for cleaning barns out in the past and it was built in 1952, i will check on the serial numbers on the ford motor 4 cylinder straight. Any information about them would be appreciated.

The picture of the dipper is exactly like the one we used in a fertilizer plant in Owen Wisconsin very manuverable, and fast. for that job, I would take it over a skidsteer anyday.

Were discussed somewhat on the Help Identify page past summer. Many were used in fertilizer plants and succumbed eventually to corrosion in that environment.Don't recall a 4wd,most were front wheel drive with rear steering(similar to forklift).Such rigs were pretty nuch supplanted by advent of skidloaders in the late 60s-early 70s.Company(mfg rights)changed hands 2-3 times over their production span from N Dakota,to MN,to Eau Claire,WI...I have a pretty fair picture of one here somewhere..will post later.
