I have a 730 JD. deisel, pup start and a 70 gas. Both in very good condition. No dints Call them a #7-8. Got offered a 435 JD. to trade for the 730. Engine suposto be rebuilt rest needs lots of help. Is the trade fair. I was hoping to get a very good 435 for both the 730 and 70. I don't know values. Am I dreaming or not. Please.

I would definitaly keep the 730 diesel... maybe trade the 70 gas for the 435... maybe not.

To each his own but as an avild JD collector and user I never have understood the idea of a 435 talk about loud and unpleasant to operate. 730's get respect from the non JD guys. If you have multiple 730's fine but let your only one go no way.

Unless you are in the habit of trading your dollars for nickels, I would NEVER trade that 730 deisel, with the pony, for a 435, or anything else for that matter. That 730 is a great tractor and in really ramping up on demand. It would be like going to Fort lauderdale, bringing yer wife, but come home with the girl working at the gas station that has 3 teeth(2 of which are actually chicklets) 5 different colored kids, and ya cant tell where the t!t ends and the belly begins.

I agree with the other guys. I have never been around a 435, but have ran a 730 some and they are great old tractors with plenty of power and brute strength. I never had any 70 experience, but I wouldn't trade two good ones for a bad one no matter what it was.

something fishy smelling there.
Do like Farmall said, save up and buy yourown and keep the others. Youll have no regrets that way
Besides 2 tractors aint enough to keep one guy busy!!

Trade em both for a Farmall. Just messin with ya. I wouldn't do it. I'd hang on to that 730 if I was you. 70's weren't bad either. I think if you would do it, you'd regret it down the road.

Somethin I've learned over the years is that once it's gone, it's too late to change your mind, it's usualy gone for good. If ya want a 435 get one, don't trade for it. Anyone who has gotten rid of something and regreted it knows that bad feeling you get in your gut afterwards. And it seems to hang around forever. Doug N
