To the fool who was gonna roll his farmall on purpose? Did he kill himself yet or did someone take away the keys?

Alright, now I would be the first to stand in defense of old iron, but it is his, so do we have any room to tell him how to live his life? He said it was used up. Did y'all castigate the fella that flipped the David Brown on purpose? Heck, that's high dollar sheet metal now. I just sold an H for $250 that came complete with a new belly pump, dual fuel, corn snout hubs and cast main wheels. It had been for sale for 15 years.

So at this point, we have established that the tractor has little value and moreover belonged to him. Want someone telling you how to live? On your own property?

Secondly, I would like to see a scientific study on the rollover threshold of a narrow front versus a wide front. Perhaps I will call Mythbusters. I bet they will flip a JD A, or a vintage Allis, or perhaps a MM UTU. Makes that clapped out H sound like a better option, don't it?

I totally agree with the two chain idea. Get it to break over without actually rolling over. Got a soft spot in my heart for that Red Paint.

Just stirrin' the pot.

Aaron

I told him to be sure to have his next of kin let us know how it went. Guess he didn't.

This type stuff was a topic of discussion at work last night (I had 2 temp employee's POs call and verify they were at work). Most of the crap we used to pull and occasionally wind up having a cop call or haul our butt home to Dad will get you time in the slammer and 5 years probation these days. Or in the case of some kid wanting to deliberately roll a tractor, 30 days of intense psychiatric evaluation. Dad could cure things like this in one sitting, Usually saw the light on the first whack and accepted the diagnosis once the bleeding stopped.

I think mommy made him experiment with his bigwheel before taking on something with a motor.

Don: I expect he is still trying to scrape together enough coins to buy the H. He obviously never had a tractor before.

I dont know, alot of the young people these days are pretty brave, well , stupid I guess. Ever watch the crap they post on youtube? When I was oh.....16-19, we did some stupid crap, but today these guys are all about reckless, cruelness, and extreme stunts. I guess it make them feel cool. It took a few buddies getting killed or broken to open me and my freinds eyes back then, but we were mild and it only involved dirtbikes and racing ATV's, and of course our 1st 4x4 trucks, after a few costly repaires we gave that up.

Thats for sure, kids these days are just plain dumb! We did A LOT of stupid stuff when we were in that age bracket but nothing that we "knew" would put us in the hospital or grave.
