Dad is driving for a company called Max Gro this summer so he delivers fertilizer to farmers. Here he is delivering our own fertilizer on Thursday, now we gotta get going this weekend and get that stuff in the ground where it belongs....

I should be putting in corn too. The seed guy should be coming in 15 minutes so he says to drop off the seed. So that will give me some time to get some stuff ready before I go out and plant.

You didn't have your seed yet?!?!?!? Man we've had ours for over a month already, all 9 bags of it... We had 3 bags left over fomr last year that we got for 1/4 off price after the coop messed up the spraying. Dad wanted to return the extra but I knew we'd never get seed corn for that price again, so I just told him to hang onto it.

Good thing too, dad lost his job about 1 1/2 months ago and money's been tight. He really likes this job, and his boss actually lets him have a day or 2 off if he needs it so we can get field work done. Don't get that too often anymore...

Dad also said he really likes that culitivator I picked up- we pull a 24' drag behind it so there a little extra overlap, but it's not too bad.

Yesterday he hualed manure out of the cow yard, then today he took the 285 and the other 16' cultivtor and did the 1st pass while I finished up fixing on the cultivator behind the 1855 I had 2 fields done with the 1st pass about 2 weeks ago. Then I started and once he finished ahead of me he took over on the 18 and I started getting the 1600 and 495A corn planter ready. Got in 1 4 1/2 acre field.
