I've got a 2006 350 super duty with the factory installed electric brake controller. For some reason the terminal in the plug is testing hot all the time. As soon as you plug the trailor in the brakes activate. I'm not sure where to start as the controller is buried in the dash and hard to get at. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Let Ford fix it. An "06 should have a valid Warranty.Better yet, some Chev. Dealer would love to have it sitting in his Used Lot.

We noticed this at work also. RV trailers and flatbed trailers are wired the same other than the aux. power and the trailer brake terminals of the plug. More than likely a new pickup will be wired for the RV and not a utility flatbed. chris
