Hello all,

I recently dug out our old Sears nibco heater, and to my amazement, when i plugged it in and hit the reset button, it fired off. However, after running for about 10 seconds, it shut down. I have to keep hitting the reset button on it to get it to fire, and it will only run for a few seconds. What would cause this? Also, I thought it was suppose to start as soon as it was plugged in. Any ideas?

Remove cover and clean and check the electric eye. Several industrial supply places keep aftermarket parts, kits, & filter screens for them (grainger.com). Fan motor working?

The fan is working, and the air filters look clean. I need to take apart the electric components?
