Hi Gang;
Having set my heart on buying one of these little MF300 series. I've been searching the tractor trade via the websites. Found several examples in dealer's yards.
Almost every one was sold originally to golf courses & councils and supplied on turf wheels. Most also fitted with loaders. Hence every man & his "cowboy" has used them, no 1 owner-driver versions. Hours for this age around 3500 to 4500.
Average prices $14500 to $15500. Not the best seller because of the low 47HP gross.
My seller paid far too much when he bought in December $17350. He obviously hasnt had any one else interested at anywhere near this price. He has phoned me everyday this week !!! I think his wife is giving him H+LL for buying it at this price (we've all had that problem LoL).
I bid him $16500 last weekend, and after talking with many dealers think this is too much. I think $16000 is about right money for me, but cant see him dropping $1350 in 2 months. I dont want my wife giving me a hard time either LoL.
Perhaps I should look around at Ford NH 3930 & 4630 which dont command such high values.
Cheers David

Hi;
Our summers are not as hot as yours, today all tractors used for hard field work would be fitted with air con (need it with the large area of glass in modern cabs.
The smaller utility tractors would not work so much in the fields and prices more "sensitive" so most never got fitted with air con to keep prices down.
On these MF 300 series the 3 cylinder had cab heaters (also blow cold air) and you opened the side windows for extra air flow. The 4 cylinder models 62-80 HP gross could have air con fitted because they would be doing more work in the fields.
Cheers David

I can ring him and bid him less. That will make your bid look much more inviting?

David,

Nice looking tractors like that make high prices sound a little more reasonable, don't they?

I'm still wondering about the British summer weather that lets you have cab tractors with no Air conditioning. Almost all the used cab tractors from there that make it over here have no AC.
