I have been shopping for a new tractor and am currently looking pretty hard at the M series of Kubota, the M8540 in particular. Anyone out there that has some experience with the M8540? Also, I wonder if anyone has experience with the hydraulic shuttle transmission? I haven't seen after-market parts advertised for Kubota, do parts have to be bought thru the dealer, is there any problem getting parts?

They are a nice conferable tractor to operator. All though I have had some problems. At the forty hour mark it started to jump out of 3 rd gear hi and low range. My dealer could not get to me for a week or two so i ended up putting another forty hours on it. They took it back and had it four 5 weeks. and did not get it fixed ended up sending me another new one now it is walking back and fourth in third gear. If you have any questions feel free to e mail me! Erran

If you are looking to use it for farming I suggest that you look for the long wheel base its a lot more comfortable out in the field. I have two one short and one long and it really makes a difference when mowing bailing or raking hay. you may have to beg they are hard to find.

Kubota has a dealer network that is equal to or better than any domestic manufacturer. Parts and service should not ever be a problem. My Tisco catalog does include a small section of Kubota parts.
