I'm looking at trading my 400 Farmall for a 300 Utility with a loaderand power steering. I've heard some stories about the 300s can't handle a loader, is this true? also will it be hard to add a PTO unit and Fast Hitch to the 300U?

I grew up on a 350U and love them. They are great dependable tractors. They will handle a loader fine for smaller jobs. I would be concerned with resale value on one with no hitch of PTO.

I guess it depends on what you want to lift if the 300 can handle the loader or not.How much weight are you planning on lifting?

Should be able to find a loader for that 400 for a reasonable price. You can even add power steering if need be. I think I would go that route.

The 400 is too big for what I need, I need a utility style, sounds like I should sell the 400 outright.

Shoot me an email. Maybe I can help you out in that regard.

Yes, if it is "smaller" that you really want, they put loaders on those little utes all the time.
