I'm getting together the overhaul kit for my Super C and was priceing a oil pump and boy did I get a suprise. He has one in stock for $350.00 and if he was to order one it would almost $450.00. Does these prices sound right.

You can probably buy just the guts. You may only need the bottom plate and bushings.

Ray: I have seen a couple post over the last few months where oil pumps have been repaired\rebuilt by owners and worked out well.. It didn't sound too high teck for a handy repairman.. good luck..harvey

Nuthin' like captive parts!!! If it's any consolation , The oil pump in the popular 188 / 207 tractor engine is over $600!! and its still just 2 gears in a cast iron housing. Is yours actually worn out or damaged? Replaceing them just as preventative maintainence is mighty expensive. If you can, take it apart,check for wear, and reuse it if it looks good. Good Luck
