Hmmmmm,

Weatherman says 15 to 20 inches of snow and 45 mph winds.

Kinda sounds like an old fashioned blizzard to me. :>(

Yep, it's started here, maybe an inch on the ground. Calling for 14-24 in Denver, more east, 20-30mph winds...schools are all canceled, probably come back after Christmas break...hope the ol W9 will start, it gets cranky in cold weather sometimes...

All we are supposed to get is rain BUT last spring my brother parked the snow blower in a different shed than normal that a neighbor rents from our landlord so when I went to get it out a couple weeks ago it had a 7,300 gallon manure tanker, a manure pump and a 15' drill parked in front of it so I left it which might have been a mistake. The last two year's I've had it ready to go and never used it so I could probably leave it in the shed this year but I know leaving it 4 miles from where we need it is just asking for a major snow storm.

Sounds like a good time to crank the heat and work on a project in the shop. Problem is there are so many to choose from. I'll have to draw from a hat to pick the one I'll work on:) Spring will be here before we know it, so I better hit the shop.

Erik

Now Allan you don't owe me anything and don't have to do this but gosh Allan last time that happened up there you left the gate WIDE open and it got aaalllll the way down to 40 degrees in PORT ISABEL, TX. Maybe you will close that gate half way this time. And that excuse you use that you left it open because everyone was accusing you of leading a sheltered life because you had envoirmentally friendly cabs on your tractors wont fly this time because you already wore out that excuse.

I can just tell how sorry you are feeling for me.

Seriously, Allan, be careful out there.

Same here Allan. I've got loader tractors plugged in at both ends of the farm and put a set of chains on one of the 3/4 tons today. Now it probably won't do anything, but better safe than sorry I suppose. David

you are the first one in a long time that also puts tire chains on one of his pickups. i have 3/4-4by with a 8 1/2 western blade an i put tire chains on all four. it is amazing how much you plow with the chains on.

Yes I was Gary.

Thought maybe he found something wrong with the 1066.

Till I got the post open I was a little worried.

This is the time of year when suffering through the 125 degree heat is definitaly worth it!

Just remember, only stupid people get hurt in a blizzard! Stay home and have some soup! Good time to whip up a batch of knoephla or beer cheese soup...
