Are the old style gas cans with the snap on cap still available? All I can find are the new fangled spring loaded dribble spout for "off road use only". Gonna hafta look for garage sales...

You can go to Gemplers and still buy the gas cans you want. Be careful about the cans you buy, though, I will only buy plastic cans or the $35.00 safety cans. The cheaper, metal, galvanized cans look good, but the galvanize will flake off and cause you lots of problems down the road. Expecially with gasahol. If you buy the safety cans, buy the Eagle cans, I have used then with good luck, they are little difficult to use, but they also help keep the gas from going bad as fast because the can is sealed. It also prevents fire hazards with the safety cans.

Hey pal, here is a link to a company that sells amish supplies, don"t know if it is what you are looking for.

Related to your question, is there a place that still sells the oldtime steel flexible spouts that fit inside the can when not in use? I have a good ole 5 gallon can I hate to throw away cause of no spout. Thanks...
