I know there has been several discussions about farmhand loaders but has anyone ever used a Super Six loader. Is this a good loader? I have heard guys say they were the best and others that would never get one in their life. I have a chance to get one for a really good deal. The cylinders leak and some bushings would help but we are talking about a $25 purchase. I will use it for plowing snow and light lifting. Brad

Hi Brad, Which Super Six? In the 50's and 60's
there was a Super Six loader company that built
for Massey but also for other tractors. In the
70's a New Super Six company started in rural
Delano, Mn. The earlier Super Six was not designed
for wide front tractors. Oh, the later loader was
Dist. by Lindsey Bros, Mpls and other cities. The early loader was built off Washington avenue
in No. Mpls.

This loader is not meant for a wide front tractor. It may have come off a Massey because the rear axle supports were to short and some extensions were cobbled on. When I saw it at a friends house he was just going to add it to the scrap pile. It has the original tag on it yet. I will try to get the model number off it the next time I get up that way. Are they a fairly decent loader though.
