Brad we never had a problem with the 1973 6600d running hot but we did keep radiator blowed out every other day.Ran that machine for almost 6000hrs.Then we gdraduated to a 1978 660 sidehillh with the 404 and hydro we added a strawchopper and rotary chaff spreader to help out with notill planting. We Run about 500-600 acres thru it a year.Great pics and love getting the beans out.You run a 6 row corn head? We run a 222 bean head and 643corn head Steve

Thanks Steve,This old girl is a gasser.Every time we fill up(which is often),I blow out the rad.Dealer said the rotary screen with the fan which moves air opposite direction solved the problem.
We use this combine for beans and oats. For the corn,we use a 4400 diesel and a 443 head.~brad

Brad

Great feeling to get done ain't it.

But a day or two after finishing do you wish you had more to do like I do?

Gary

Not too far from you, by New Ulm. I finished my beans Saturday; have 4 acres to get at my sister's place yet. Then on to the ear corn & combined corn as well. :) Worked on the corn crib a bit today.

Had the header drive bracket pull off the header, & now have a bad bearing on a rear beater on the combine (Gleaner F2). Not too bad. Worst was me, fighting a bad cold the past 8 days, really zapped my energy. Getting better finally. No get up & go.

Your town puts on a good farm show in spring. Made it over the past 2 years. Actually spent money there. Puts my town's to shame. Only hard part is finding the fairgrounds! :)

I was wondering if someone would notice.
The JD's without the rotary screen tend to run warm.Makes a big difference.~brad
