I went to a friends place to pick up spme straw last week. I looked in the basement of his barn and about 12 buffalo were looking back at me. He"s raising them for a game farm.

Is Ted Turner still in the buffalo business?

Allan:

They look like they could wipe the floor with this guy!

He is what took care of my heifers this summer, he and his yearling buddy.

Dang Cowman,

I wasn't paying attention when I put my title in, it should have read More black ones.

Allan, sure looks familar, A friend that lived just down the road from me had the largest herd of bufflo in the US about 8 or 9 years ago. He sold his herd to a fellow from Montana if I remember correctly. He was telling me that they liked weeds (cheat grass & foxtail) far better than grass or alflafa.

When he butchered one, he got $2000.00 for the head. And an ungodly amount for the hide.

DEVOURCE caused the sell of his herd, and as ussual his ex got one huge chunk of change, plus lots of his property, Never fails.

If you happen to see one with a white calf, your going to have people from miles around trespassing on your property to get a look.

Aw heck, not my neighbors but I can see them only a couple miles away from my house in Connecticut.

On second thought, a couple miles probably counts as neighbors in Nebraska ;)

They're a dairy farm that converted to Bison. Just added farm-raised pork. Still has a small dairy herd kept as 4-H and a foundation herd if he ever gets back into milking.
