Here's a pic of it... third party image

60-ft boom. Actuators seem to move, electric pump clutch appears to work. Most lights and radio work (a caution light looks to be knocked off, and the front headlights don't do anything. Haven't really tried to start the engine--oil filter says it was changed 4-9-03, so I'm guessing the 10 gallons of stuff in the tank is probably antifreeze. Stuff in the spray lines is green too.

But... where should I post&ask questions about this? What forum? And where do I get books for it? I know nothing more about this thing than what I can see or figure out by playing with it.

Thanks!

From the replies to this and the other post I'd say this would be the forum to post. But I'd also try Todays Tractors. Most questions about chemicals and spraying are posted in Useing Your Tractor and Crop Talk. As others have suggested, try your local Agco dealer for an operators manual.

It is the most popular self propelled sprayer in the neighborhood here in my area (Northwest Ohio)I can ask where they go for parts and service. Where are you located? J/

West Central Iowa. Biggest towns around are Carroll, Fort Dodge, and Storm Lake, and all 3 are about an hour drive.

Try the link below, for information. Hopefully, the phone # will work better than the link on that page!

Agco bought Melroe out a few years ago.An Agco dealer should be able to help you out or they should know where to obtain books and or parts.Fertilizer Dealer's Supply is the distributor in Indiana and Illinois now,I believe.
Until we get chased off ask away with any questions you have right here.
There is a well marked fuse panel under the dash. You might want to stock up on the correct size fuses for your machine. It takes the blade type fuses. There are also fuses located in the wiring to the boom ball valves, behind and above the engine. The cover shield has to be removed to get to the fuses there. Is your coupe equipped with a Raven 220 Spray Controller?
Oh yea, another word of caution:Don't under any circumstances tow your coupe even a short distance without removing the drive shafts. To do so will destroy the transmission/differential assy.

Raven? Well, I don't know about that. The monitor in the corner just says "melroe" on it, and as I understand that's the company that built the whole sprayer. But that thing shows no signs of life at all. Could be a blown fuse or something. Now what I don't get is the pressure gauge that goes up to about 65PSI in the cab when you turn on the key but don't start it. That probably explains the second pressure gauge that's bolted to the hood above the fuel tank.

Doh! I forgot to mention, the tag says it's a Melroe 220 model. It was a heckuva load for a little GMC quarter-ton pickup. But it's home now.
