Friend decided to sell his grain truck that was in good condition.

Before taking it to a consignment auction he put new points and plugs and gave it a general tune up.

On the way to the auction location it put a rod thru the oil pan.

No prior problems of any kind.

Now if that would have happen when the new owner was on the way home he would have been very upset for someone selling a truck in that condition.

So you just never know.

I bought a Dozer at an auction. The thing ran like a song and everyone opperated it. I bought it and threw a rod out the block while loading it on the trailer.

That stinks to blow the motor, but it`s probably less sticky having it happen before he sold it than after.
